Executive Director, Brateil Aghasi is honoring Bill Hirsch and Jon Webb of Affordable Housing Access with the 19th Annual Lukens Legacy Award. The Annual Meeting also celebrates the achievements of the past year and recognizes the contributors and donors who make our programs possible. See the 2018 Annual Report here.
The Lukens Legacy Award was created to honor Florence and Jim Lukens, long-time supporters and volunteers of the YWCA of South Orange County and WISEPlace. Jim Lukens passed away in 2001. After Florence’s sudden death in February 2003, Marjorie Fluor Moore, her life long friend, also a faithful supporter of the “Y” and WISEPlace, started the Lukens Legacy Fund to continue the Lukens’ legacy of giving to WISEPlace.
The WISEPlace Board of Directors initiated the Lukens Legacy Award in October 2003 and gave the first award to Marjorie Fluor Moore for her long-time involvement with the “Y” and WISEPlace.
