Join us for a special community outreach and awareness screening of Thelma & Louise – cult classic, Oscar award-winner and penultimate tale of female oppression and empowerment – in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the 1 in 4 national movement for unaccompanied homeless women.
The film is presented in support of WISEPlace and No Silence No Violence, a nonprofit organization committed to breaking the silence surrounding domestic violence. The screening is free! Donations are appreciated and will benefit the programs of both WISEPlace and NSNV. Concessions will be available, and there will be a short discussion of the film, led by NSNV founder Jessica Yaffa.
Come out for a night of positive energy; one that will help increase awareness of domestic violence and issues surrounding homelessness among the unaccompanied women in our community! Please register in advance below. Donations will be accepted at the door or online.
